Burke intros premium Italian sausage topping

NEVADA, Iowa — Burke Corporation is adding an extra-large Italian sausage nugget topping to its Premoro Hand-Pinched Style toppings line.

According to a news release, each one-eighth-ounce nugget bears a distinctive homemade appearance.

"These toppings have an authentic, inconsistent look," said Liz Hertz, Burke marketing manager. "They're larger than most chunks and combine texture, bite, aroma and flavor for the look of homemade toppings. They're a unique time-saver with a quality that will satisfy even the most discriminating customers."

The new sausage topping is made from premium quality fresh pork and is seasoned with a hint of garlic and authentic spices for true Italian flavor. The seasoning and firm texture give the nuggets a better bite. The product also is fully cooked and frozen, providing foodservice operators reduced labor and training costs.

"We know food industry professionals are always looking for new ways to provide premium quality to their customers. Using Hand-Pinched Style extra-large sausage topping helps them do that with minimal labor," said Hertz.
