Butterball Foodservice introduces turkey breast filets

Butterball Foodservice is addressing an increased demand for healthful menu options by launching new 4-ounce turkey breast filets. According to a news release, the filets are low in fat, calories and sodium and contain no trans fat or MSG.

A recent survey by Technomic shows that nearly half of consumers prefer turkey to beef because it's healthier, and 71 percent view turkey as a more nutritious alternative to pork.

The filets are individually packed in easy-peel film. The film is perforated allowing for one-at-a-time use. Also, the filets can be cooked from frozen with no thawing necessary for freezer-to-grill prep.

"It is our ongoing commitment to introduce new, on-trend products that chefs and operators can easily incorporate into their menu. Our 4 oz. turkey breast filets are just the right size to serve as a delicious and nutritious canvas for any flavor profile," said Richie Jenkins, Butterball Foodservice's director of Marketing.
