LOS ANGELES and RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — California Pizza Kitchen Inc. (Nasdaq:CPKI) opened its first restaurant in San Bernardino County on Oct. 28 at Victoria Gardens — a new shopping center in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., according to a press release.
The new CPK restaurant will feature an extensive beverage menu with more than 40 specialty drinks, including CPK's original California Cosmo, and extensive lists of martinis, margaritas, cocktails and after-dinner drinks, the release noted.
"The Inland Empire continues to grow at an amazingly rapid pace, making it an ideal location for our newest California Pizza Kitchen restaurant," said Larry Flax, co-founder and co-CEO of CPK, in the release. "Victoria Gardens, with its unique take on the 'Mainstreet' mall concept, is sure to draw visitors from all around the area."
The restaurant is 6,675 square feet and will incorporate an enhanced design and decor, which was introduced by CPK in Orange County and Los Angeles in July 2004.
CPK also has agreed to donate 100 percent of its pizza sales Nov. 10 to Children's Fund in honor of the grand opening, according to the release. The mission of Children's Fund is to ensure that at-risk children in San Bernardino County have equal opportunities for social development.
CPK operates, licenses or franchises 171 restaurants.
