California Pizza Kitchen opens airport unit in Mexico

California Pizza Kitchen Inc. has opened its first airport location in Mexico. The new unit, opened by CPK franchise partner Grupo Calpik, S.A.P.I. de C.V. and operated by Mera Corporation, is located in Terminal 2 at the Cancun International Airport.

Visited by more than 3 million international travelers each year, the Cancun International Airport is the second busiest airport in Mexico and has received the Best Airport of Latin-America Award for the last two years by the Airport Council International.

The CPK menu features a specialized selection of signature pizzas, salads, soups and sandwiches from the full-service restaurant menu.

The restaurant, open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., also will offer a breakfast menu highlighted by a selection of hot panini egg sandwiches served on rustic bread. It will include The Works Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs, applewood smoked bacon, sweet Italian sausage, black beans, Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses, red and green peppers, onions and tomatillo salsa.

Additional full-service CPK restaurants in Mexico are located in Guadalajara, Cancun and the Mexico City suburbs of Lomas Verdes, Bosques de Las Lomas, Polanco District, Santa Fe, Coyoacán and Satelite.
