California Pizza Kitchen unveils new seasonal offerings

California Pizza Kitchen has launched two new seasonal menu items — the Brussels + Bacon Pizza and Roasted Beets with Whipped Goat Cheese Salad small plate. The dishes will be available in all California Pizza Kitchen locations through the end of March.

The Brussels + Bacon Pizza is topped with sweet caramelized onions, Nueske's applewood smoked bacon, Romano and creamy goat cheese with black pepper. It contains Brussels sprouts that have been hand-separated, tossed in olive oil and charred. Guests are encouraged to try this new pizza with a glass of Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc. They can also choose from traditional, thin or whole grain crust.

The Roasted Beets with Whipped Goat Cheese Salad is served as a small plate and includes a selection of seasonal beets on a bed of red watercress, tossed with house-made lemon vinaigrette and topped with California pistachios. This option pairs well with Santa Margherita Pinto Grigio.

"Seasonal ingredients like Brussels sprouts and red watercress are currently in peak quality and flavor, which makes California Pizza Kitchen's new seasonal features a delicious and innovative addition to our already unique menu," said G.J. Hart, chief executive officer for California Pizza Kitchen. "We are committed to incorporating California creativity into every meal and proud to offer our guests new menu offerings that do just that."

California Pizza Kitchen also recently added Colby Red Wine, a crafted wine whose proceeds support charities that promote heart health, to its menu through the end of April. The company is also offering a $30 Valentine's Day menu for two from Feb. 14 through Feb. 17 that includes an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert.
