Casey's General Stores expanding pizza delivery service

Casey's General Stores, with 1,638 convenience store locations in 11 states, has announced plans to expand its 24-hour stores and pizza delivery services.

The Iowa-based company intends to increase its stores that are open 24 hours by 150, for a total of 220, and the number of stores that offer pizza delivery by 50, for a total of 75 stores.

According to the Des Moines Register, the new 24-hour stores will be completed by the end of January.

The additional pizza delivery stores will be added by the end of March.

Casey's plans to expand were announced after the company reported a 73 percent growth in profits for the second quarter 2011.

Casey's specialty pizzas include garden, taco, bacon cheeseburger, supreme and meat galore.
