China growth spurs Yum 3Q comps

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Yum Brands Inc. has reported results for its third quarter ended Sept. 8, 2007.
Worldwide same-store sales grew 4 percent, Yum said, led by 11 percent growth in mainland China. Comps in Yum Restaurants International Division grew 7 percent, while growth in the U.S. was 1 percent.
Net income rose to $270 million up from $230 million in 2006.
