Chuck E. Cheese to help underwrite PBS's 'Clifford'

IRVING, Texas -- CEC Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: CEC) operator of Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Restaurants has announced its agreement to provide underwriting for the PBS KIDS children's program, "Clifford the Big Red Dog." The show is based on the popular Scholastic Book series by Norman Bridwell, and is entering its second season on PBS KIDS.

"We are very excited to be expanding our relationship with PBS," stated Richard Huston, executive vice president of marketing for CEC Entertainment. Huston didn't give details as to when the underwriting would begin.

CEC also provides underwriting for the long-running "Barney and Friends" show.

"We are delighted that CEC Entertainment is expanding its support of public television by underwriting an additional program, making them one of PBS KIDS's most active partners," stated Adrienne Cleere, vice president of PBS Strategic Partnerships.

CEC Entertainment, Inc. operates 396 Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants (344 company-owned, 52 franchised) in 45 states.
