COPPELL, Texas — CiCi's Pizza is giving away 2 million book covers and pizza coupons to students nationwide.

According to a news release, the company's inaugural book cover drive includes three different designs highlighting the outdoors, animals and sports, plus a coupon for a free kids buffet with the purchase of an adult buffet.

Local CiCi's managers will visit schools in neighborhoods near their stores to promote the program to schools' staffs. Students can visit their neighborhood CiCi's during the first two weeks of the school year to get their free book covers.

CiCi's Pizza regularly supports educational programs through initiatives such as its rebate program. Customers can drop their CiCi's receipts in a bucket on a designated day and the restaurant will donate a percentage of its sales to a neighborhood school or deliver the equivalent of those sales in the form of free pizzas. CiCi's also donates 200,000 Super Star Student Cards — gift cards for a free kid's buffet with the purchase of an adult buffet — to schools annually. The cards are given to students as a reward for perfect attendance and/or good grades.
