CiCi's plans No Kid Hungry promotion

Throughout September, restaurants across the country will host promotions to raise funds in support of Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign, aimed at ending childhood hunger.

Among the brands participating is CiCi's Pizza, which will make a donation for every 32-oz beverage that is sold in September, pledging a minimum of $25,000.

CiCi's will also host Facebook and Instagram promotions where guests can upload images of their 32-oz CiCi's cups, screenshots of their online pledge donations and more for a chance to be the featured fan of the week. CiCi's will make a $25 donation on behalf of the chosen fans.

About 20 percent of all U.S. children struggle with hunger. The No Kid Hungry campaign connects kids in need with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals.

"As a restaurant company, we are passionate about feeding families and we applaud Share Our Strength's mission to end childhood hunger in America," said CiCi's Chief Marketing Officer Nancy Hampton. "CiCi's gives back to its communities locally throughout the nation, but this is our first time joining hands nationally to help families and children everywhere."

To encourage people to get involved, CiCi's is offering its endless pizza, pasta, soup, salad and dessert buffet for $5 through September at participating restaurants.
