In support of National Mentoring Month, CiCi's Pizza in Texas will be partnering with the Big Brothers Big Sisters youth mentoring program. For the month of January, Little Brothers and Little Sisters of the program will be able to eat free when their accompanying Big Brother or Big Sister purchases an adult buffet at any of the 178 CiCi's Pizza buffet locations throughout Texas.
"Big Brothers Big Sisters' core values align with those of our own here at CiCi's," said Kyle Smith, vice president of brand excellence for CiCi's Pizza. "The organization is a leader in youth service, developing positive relationships that have an impact on the lives of young people. For CiCi's, community involvement has always been important, and we hope many great memories will be shared as 'Littles' dine with their 'Bigs' at our restaurants."
In 2009, CiCi's Pizza donated more than $26,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters. The money raised by CiCi's Pizza's team members was generated from the company's successful Penny Picker Upper campaign, a silent auction at CiCi's annual conference and in-kind pizza party donations from the Bowl for Kids Sake events. Big Brothers Big Sisters earmarked the funds to support youth mentoring services to children in local communities.
