CALGARY -- Comac Food Group Inc. ("Comac") today announced the opening of its first two Corporate Domino's Pizza Stores in Calgary.The first store opened on September 3, 2001 and the second location on October 9.
The stores feature the new image 2000 design and are strategically positioned in high visibility locations. To date, store results have exceeded projections, with the first store achieving average weekly unit sales in excess of $10,000, which is comparable with the Canada-wide average for Domino's. Opening week sales for the second store also exceed projections and management is confident that a $10,000 AWUS will be reached within the first three months of operations.
"We are aggressively pursuing leases for eight additional locations in Alberta and expect to have these stores open over the next year," says John Beauparlant, President of Comac. "The Domino's team is encouraged by these initial results and is anxious to build out the rest of the market."
