Comps up 5% at U.S. corporate Pizza Hut units

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Comparable-store sales at Pizza Hut's U.S. corporate units rose 5 percent for the four-week period ended August 7.

According to a news release from its parent company, Yum! Brands, Pizza Hut's sales led those posted by sister companies Taco Bell (up 4 percent) and KFC (up 1 percent.)

Yum does not report comps for Pizza Hut's franchise units, which make up nearly three-fourths of its system.
