Culinary Software Services recently announced the release of ChefTec xt3 software. New features include additional functions, improved performance and updated user interface.
According to a news release, the updated software has the ability to identify gluten-free recipes. It can also automatically list recipies that contain common allergens such as milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soybeans. Additionally, a new feature tracks ingredients from vendors through production to distribution, allowing for recalled items to be quickly identified and removed from the stream.
"Around 48 million Americans get sick from foodborne illness every year. ChefTec xt3 allows foodservices to use preventative controls to minimize the likelihood of problems occurring," Bev Daniels, general manager of Culinary Software Services, said in the release.
