March 19, 2002

An Aurora, Ill., pizza delivery driver was hijacked and robbed Feb. 4, while stopped at a red light.

An unidentified man opened the passenger-side door, pointed a handgun at the driver, came into the car and commanded the deliveryman to drive. According to The Chicago Tribune, after the pair had driven a short distance, the robber hit the driver in the head with an unopened can of soda and demanded his money.

The driver gave him $180, the robber fled the car, got into another vehicle that had been following the driver's, and sped away.

No arrests have been made.
