DETROIT-- For the third time this summer, a Detroit pizza delivery driver has been shot in the line of duty.
According a report on OnDetroit.com, the unidentified Domino's Pizza driver had just delivered a pizza and returned to his car when the gunman came to the passenger side of the vehicle and fired through the window.
Wounded in the arm, the driver drove himself back to the restaurant and was taken to St. John Hospital. As of Aug. 27, he was listed in "temporary serious condition."
Police later went to the home where the driver made the delivery and took two men into custody. Their role in the crime isn't yet confirmed.
In late July and early August, two pizza delivery drivers working for Happy's Pizza were murdered while working.
Leonard O'Neal died on July 23, and Frank Larry Williams was ambushed and killed on Aug. 2.
