Domino's debuts in Nigeria, plans Swiss expansion

Domino's Pizza has opened its first store in Nigeria. The master franchisee for Domino's in Nigeria is Eat 'N' Go Restaurant Group, which has a mission of becoming the "premier food operator in Africa."

"We are eager to deliver Domino's Pizza to the people of Nigeria, so that they can experience the delicious, quality pizza that is loved around the world," said Eric Andre, Eat 'N' Go Restaurant Group managing director.

Domino's now operates in more than 70 markets worldwide, with more than half of its global retail sales coming from international stores.

"Establishing ourselves in this emerging West African country presents a great opportunity for our business, and continues our global momentum as a brand," said Ritch Allison, Domino's Pizza executive vice president of international. "We have a great operator in Eric – his knowledge of the business landscape will be instrumental in making Domino's Pizza the leading pizza brand in Nigeria."

Domino's UK plans Swiss expansion

Additionally, Domino's Pizza UK is planning to expand in Switzerland with a 12-unit acquisition.

According to Reuters, the company plans to acquire the stores for $7.3 million and plans an additional 25 new stores in Switzerland throughout the next five years.

Domino's UK currently operates the brand's British, Irish and German franchises.
