Domino's franchisee kicks off social media contest

North Carolina-based HDI, a Domino's Pizza franchisee, has tapped Sociallybuzz to launch its new giveaway campaign that taps into both virtual and non-virtual mediums.

The giveaway takes place at Domino's Pizza stores in Wilmington and Raleigh, N.C.; Charleston, S.C. and Augusta, Ga., and runs through Dec. 31.

Each week, a winner will be chosen to receive a VIP Passport to Massanutten Ski Resort. Each Passport includes accommodations for four people and a 3-day/2-night stay. Additionally, at the end of the contest, a grand prize winner will be chosen to receive $1,000.

Contest entries should be submitted online. Fans are then asked to "like" their local Domino's Pizza fan page on Facebook, and to retweet it to their Twitter followers.

"It's not enough to just use social networks to execute a campaign. It is now more important than ever to bridge the online and offline mediums and with a campaign like this, it will define the possibilities of using multiple marketing mediums to create a successful, effective and dynamic campaign," said Andre Kay, founder of Sociallybuzz.
