Mike Orcutt, owner of Domino's Pizza stores in the Columbus, Ga., area, has received the company's International Franchise Association Gold Franny Award for operational excellence.
The Gold Franny Award is the most prestigious honor bestowed on a Domino's Pizza franchisee, according to a press release. Orcutt won the honor over a pool of more than 1,100 storeowners in the United States. The awards are based on several key factors including operational audit scores, community involvement, store safety and security and the team member morale. The Franny Awards were created more than 20 years ago by the International Franchise Association and designed to honor excellence among franchisees. The Domino's Pizza Leadership Team selects the award recipients.
"Mike's personal commitment and leadership made his franchise tremendously successful in 2010," said Scott Hinshaw, Domino's executive vice president of franchise operations and development. "I am thrilled to honor Mike with a Gold Franny award for his hard work in making Domino's the preferred pizza delivery company in his area. He is an inspiration to his peers and truly deserving of this honor."
