BRISBANE, Australia — Pizza eaters in Australia can now order pizza from their mobile phone through the Domino's Pizza's new mobile phone ordering system.

According to a news release, the chain has partnered with Telstra to roll out the program, which uses Domino's single-number system. When dialed from a cell phone, callers are instructed to follow automated voice prompts to assist in connecting them to the store nearest their location.

"Already we are seeing mobile phone orders constituting up to 10 percent of total orders in some stores," said Don Meij, chief executive of Domino's Pizza Australia New Zealand. "In areas where we have promoted mobile phone ordering, this figure has been in excess of 20 percent of total orders."
