Australia's second largest pizza maker, Eagle Boys Pizza, has launched its "Do You Fit" competition asking contestants to 'measure up' in light of the pizza chain's controversial size campaign launched last month.
The competition marks the next step in a multi-faceted advertising campaign based on research that confirms some large multinational pizza chains are selling pizzas up to 15 percent smaller than Eagle Boys' pizzas.
"We're all about quality and value for money in this tough economic climate, and it's astonishing to discover that some multinational pizza chains continue to pull the wool over consumers' eyes when it comes to pizza size," said Christine Hooper, Eagle Boys group executive marketing.
Eagle Boys is encouraging contestants to play the "Do You Fit" game by sending the company images and videos of compromising places they've managed to fit, in similar fashion to the campaign's 15-second television commercial demonstrating a Domino's pizza box inside Eagle Boys packaging.
Contestants are invited to register with the Eagle Club, post their own videos on Youtube or send in photos for a weekly chance to win a $1,000 Visa gift card or four runner-up $50 Visa gift card prizes.
