Feb. comp sales up 6% at U.S. Pizza Huts

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Tricon Global Restaurants Inc. said blended U.S. estimated same-store sales at Pizza Hut company restaurants were up 6 percent for the four weeks ended Feb. 23.

For the same period, U.S. same-store sales at Tricon's other brands, Taco Bell and KFC, rose 9 percent and 2 percent respectively. Blended U.S. comp sales for all three brands were up 6 percent.

In a Feb. 27 press release the company also reported international system sales increased 10 percent prior to foreign currency conversion, or 3 percent after conversion to U.S. dollars. Year-to-date international system sales increased 10 percent prior to foreign currency conversion, 5 percent after conversion.
