NOVI, Mich. -- Fidelity Communications Corp. has announced a major upgrade to its popular CallWorks Call Management System: The CallWorks MX.
According to a news release, the new product is a multi-line exchange unit that integrates seamlessly with in-store phone systems.
Local phone lines are routed directly through the CallWorks MX machine to single-line analog sets that ring at the restaurant. Separate phone systems in each store are no longer required.
Other key advancements with the CallWorks MX include easier installation, production and messaging features. The unit also lowers maintenance diagnostic costs by more than $2,000.
CallWorks is designed by pizza people for the pizza industry. The system answers incoming calls with an initial upselling message that informs customers of current specials (see related stories Build your phone system, the calls will come and Calls to Order). Calls are serviced in the order received, eliminating the need to place callers on hold. Upselling messages can be changed remotely or on site.
The CallWorks MX provides for integration of voice and data, including a Caller ID interface that works with any POS system. VoIP (voice-over Internet protocol) gateway functions and data routing features are options in the ANSI-certified open platform. The unit also can be designed for voice response applications, and an optional tool kit is available to any vendor or customer wishing to write to this platform.
