FireFly sees record Phoenix POS sales

HILLSBORO, Ore. -- FireFly Technologies, maker of the Phoenix Point-of-Sale restaurant POS software, booked 75 percent more site installations for the first six months of 2008 than during the same period in 2007, the company has announced. The additional business resulted in a 45 percent increase in total sales compared with the same period last year.   The company's total client base increased by 20 percent during the past six months, more than any prior six-month period in company history.
"We are very pleased with the company's results for the first half of the year, and we anticipate continued growth through the remainder of 2008," said managing partner Brian White. "We have been fortunate to be the POS system of choice for several successful restaurant chains which have themselves had outstanding growth this year and have been implementing the Phoenix POS system in new restaurant sites across the country."
On the drawing board for the remainder of 2008 are more enhancements to above-store management and reporting features, enhancements to customer loyalty and online-ordering features and additional in-store reports and analysis, White said.
