HILSBORO, Ore. -- FireFly Technologies has introduced its new Phoenix POS system.

According to a news release, the company said the Phoenix is built specifically for use in pizza operations.

"The system provides all the features needed for pizza and delivery management, with some incredibly powerful new concepts for marketing, control and management access," said Duessa Holscher, director of marketing for FireFly. "(T)he system runs using a Linux server and thin client Windows XP workstations, using Microsoft Internet Explorer. This combination of technology is incredibly reliable, yet inexpensive. It's the same type of system that big companies such as Amazon.com count on to make sure their software never crashes, even with millions of users."
