Fledgling NYC pizza concept delivered during Hurricane Sandy

As New Yorkers begin to return to their homes and recover from Hurricane Sandy earlier this week, one pizzeria weathered the storm during its most dramatic moments.

As profiled by Fox Business, Uncle Paul's Pizza, on 46th Street and Vanderbilt Avenue, even delivered 1,000-plus pies during the most tumultuous 30 hours.

Uncle Paul's has been open for less than four months. It had five employees on staff during the hurricane.

From the story:

"We were stranded anyway, so it was a pleasure to be open. People need to eat, and we were the only people in the area," said co-owner Dino Redzic. "... We delivered to Battery Park, and Second Ave., where it was a little terrifying. It looked like a war zone, with cars collapsed in the streets... If I have the manpower, we can go like this for days. All we need are fresh tomatoes, flour, water and cheese."
