Flippin' Pizza signs 7-unit franchise deal

April 12, 2012

Current Flippin' Pizza franchisee Brett Silver has signed on a new development agreement with the brand to open seven new locations in Montgomery County, Md.

Silver was the first multi-unit franchisee with the Flippin' Pizza concept. He currently owns and operates four locations throughout the Maryland and Washington, D.C., area, as well as four locations in the Washington Nationals stadium.

The plan is for all seven stores to be open within the next four years, with the first one opening in the next 3 to 6 months. He is focusing his search on real estate in the Germantown area.

"(Silver) is the exemplary Flippin' Pizza franchisee, and we look forward to working with him on continuing our East Coast expansion. We have confidence in the stores that will be developed under his agreement," said Patrick Farley, founder and CEO of Flippin' Pizza.

Silver is a 30-year veteran of the food and beverage industry, and has operated multiple pizzerias in New York City. He then went on to manage concessions at the Washington Redskins FedEx Field and the Washington Nationals Park. His tagline for his current and future Maryland stores is "It's a Flippin' Day in Maryland."
