PORTLAND, Ore. -- Food Alliance is hosting the Sustainable Food Industry Forum & Gala Dinner on March 12, at the University of Portland in Portland, Ore. The Sustainable Food Industry Forum is an annual event that attracts more than 100 professionals from North America's sustainable food industry.
The Industry Forum is a key opportunity for business leaders to network and share their experiences in developing, supplying, sourcing, and marketing sustainable food products.
The event includes:
- Guest speaker Paul Roberts, author of "The End of Food"
- A session on Sustainability: The Rise of Consumer Responsibility, by Alison Worthington, managing director of sustainability practices, The Hartman Group Inc.
- An Industry Forum that gathers a powerful and experienced group of food producers, food buyers, and other contributors to sustainability in the food industry
The Food Alliance Gala Dinner occurs after the Industry Forum and features many Food Alliance Certified ingredients and is prepared by Bon Appetit Management Co. Proceeds from the dinner directly support Food Alliance's mission to create market incentives for sustainable agriculture and food handling.
