Fox's Pizza sets fundraising record during annual event

Fox's Pizza Den in Punxsutawney, Pa., raised close to $51,000 during its annual "Pizza and Prevention" fundraiser. The event raises money for the Punxsutawney Fire Department.

The amount set a record for the 12th straight year.

The Fox's Pizza team, led by owner Scott Anthony, sold 5,392 Big Daddy pizzas and coupons on Oct. 5. According to the Punxsutawney Spirit, the Big Daddy pepperoni pizzas were sold for $9.11 on that day.

Firefighters from the department were on hand to help with delivery, and also provided smoke detectors to homes in need.
