Garlic Jim’s Famous Gourmet Pizza recently donated 150 pizzas to sailors on three Navy ships that returned to Naval Station Everett in Washington after lengthy deployments.

The ships included the USS Momsen, the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Shoup.

The pizzas were delivered to the sailors who remained on duty during the first 24 hours that the ships were in port. These sailors were responsible for ensuring that everything ran smoothly on board as the rest of the crew deployed to meet family and friends.

“There’s nothing more American than pizza and we loved being able to provide them with a slice or two as a welcome home,” said Dwayne Northrop, president and CEO of Garlic Jim’s. “Sharing our pizza with the on-duty sailors on these three ships was a great thrill. It was an honor meeting and talking with so many of them and bringing them a slice of joy after a long seven month deployment.”

Garlic Jim’s has locations in California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
