Garlic Jim's Pizza hires new CMO-CIO

EVERETT, Wash. — Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza has appointed Alexis Nepomuceno as its chief marketing officer-chief information officer.
 
According to a news release, in his new role, Nepomuceno will manage the marketing functions of Garlic Jim's Franchise Systems, including market research and communications, the Garlic Jim's Web site, network development and the execution of strategic marketing plans. Additionally, he'll plan and direct all aspects of the organization's marketing policies, objectives and initiatives.
 
He also will direct and manage all information technology strategic planning policies and programs to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. He is responsible for the maintenance and continued development of all Garlic Jim's Internet assets.
 
"This is a very exciting time for Garlic Jim's, and I'm excited to be a part of their nationwide growth," says Nepomuceno. "My previous experiences will allow me to implement programs that will only increase the success of the franchise."
 
Prior to joining Garlic Jim's, Nepomuceno spent six years at the Association of Washington Business, most recently in the role of vice president of communications, and where he also served as executive editor for Washington Business Magazine.
 
"Lex's previous experiences prove he is able to lead an organization by developing the vision, defining the strategies and implementing the communication programs to generate growth and increase value," says Dwayne Northrop, chief executive of Garlic Jim's.
