Goodfella's picks Philly firm to market franchise

NEW YORK -- Goodfella's Old World Brick Oven Pizza will play up its Italian heritage as it rolls out its franchise plan. The Staten Island-based company has hired Philadelphia advertising agency D4 Creative Group to market its efforts, according to a Goodfella's news release.

Goodfella's first franchise operation outside New York will open in July in Burlington, N.J. Newspaper ads promoting the opening use the tagline "We're New York Italian."

D4 Creative Group uses the phrases "Mouth-watering Italian food, direct from the Old Country - New York" and "Award-Winning Food. Famiglia Surroundings," creative director Dave Lesser said.

Goodfella's parent company, Globe Restaurant Group Inc. announced in late May the completion of two separate area development agreements to open 20 pizza stores.
