Australia-based Eagle Boys Pizza has unveiled its biggest menu launch in its 23-year history.
The country's second largest pizza maker has unwrapped 31 new menu items, including a 92.7 percent fat free "Lighter Choices" range with five gourmet pizzas, five premium pizzas, five kids meals, five new side dishes, three new desserts, a gluten-friendly pizza base and new drinks range.
Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said the new menu was the result of 12 months research into the Australian taste bud and testing of new dishes.
He said the menu reflected research showing that about a third of people were more interested in trying new food flavors than they were a year ago.
"Having been exposed to a great range of cuisines, the Australian pizza palate can be described as true blue multi-cultural. As a nation, we have taken different tastes, ingredients and dishes from across the world, interpreted them and now enjoy them in our daily lives," he said.
Clayton said the new menu would cement the company's position as the nation's second largest pizza maker.
"With a whole new range of pizzas encompassing the traditional favorites through to gourmet innovations, the new menu has been developed based on fresh ingredients and appealing flavors. This will ensure we will not only retain our loyal customers, but also attract new ones from the other pizza players," he said.
Eagle Boys Pizza is Australia's second largest pizza maker and is 100 percent Australian-owned. It operates 300 franchised stores throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT, and the Northern Territory, employing more than 4,000 staff and making more than 17 million pizzas a year.
