LITCHFIELD, Ill. -- The family that owns Chandler Brothers Hometown Pizzeria has plans to begin franchising the concept.

The Chandler family owns restaurants in Litchfield, Hillsboro, Troy and Edwardsville, Ill. The two model franchises will be Chandler Brothers Hometown Pizzeria, a full-scale casual dining, carry-out and delivery restaurant with banquet facilities and a game room, and Chandler Brothers Hometown Pizzeria Express, a carry-out and delivery unit.

The Chandlers are working with Chicago-based Francorp in the franchising effort.

For now, expansion plans include Illinois, Missouri, Indiana and Kentucky.

Lowell and Kathleen Chandler became involved in the pizza business in 1972 as a Monical's Pizza franchisee. Sons Scott and Jeff purchased the business in 2004, while son Dennis opened a pizzeria in Troy, Ill., in 2005.
