Hungry Howie's introduces deep dish pizza

April 2, 2013

Hungry Howie's Pizza has launched a new deep dish pizza. Made with Hungry Howie's signature flavored crust, the new menu item starts at $10 for a large one-topping deep dish pizza.

"We are so thrilled to debut the world's first deep dish flavored crust pizza this month," said Rob Elliott, vice president of Strategic Marketing. "We are excited to give our customers this new and unique way of enjoying Hungry Howie's signature crust flavors and delicious pizza."

Hungry Howie's is the latest chain to try its hand at deep dish for the first time. In September, Domino's added a pan pizza offering. Earlier this week, Little Caesars added a Detroit-style deep dish to its menu.

Hungry Howie's Pizza is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2013. The company signed 15 new pizza franchise agreements and opened 10 locations in 2012. This year, it plans to sign 30 agreements and to open 25 locations. Hungry Howie's Pizza is targeting franchise opportunities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas and California for growth.
