Top franchisees for Hungry Howie's Pizza were recently recognized at the company's national convention, held in Plymouth, Mich.

Multiunit owner Eric Fairbanks of North Carolina was named Franchisee of the Year 2012. With eight stores in the Charlotte area, he is currently scouting more locations for franchise opportunities and plans to open more stores in the near future.

Preston and Sabrina Starr in Douglasville, Ga., won Best Newcomer 2012 for their performance and contribution during their first year of operation. The Starrs opened their Douglasville store in 2011 and have signed a lease for their second Atlanta market location.

"We are very proud of all of our winners and how well they exemplify the Hungry Howie's Pizza brand," said Jennifer M. Jackson, development director for Hungry Howie's Pizza. "The awards show our appreciation for their hard work, their commitment to excellence and their pizza franchise success."

The convention featured keynote speaker Robert Irvine from the TV show "Restaurant Impossible."

Hungry Howie's Pizza is currently offering investment opportunities for new and existing franchisees. There are locations for single units and multiunits available in a number of markets throughout the country.
