David Freese, third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, has signed a 3-year contract with Imo's Pizza to help market the brand. According to the St. Louis Business Journal, the chain initially reached out to Freese after he earned the MVP award for the 2011 baseball season.
Freese said he frequents the Imo's Pizza location in Ballwin, outside of St. Louis. The company's president Margie Imo told the publication that he is a natural fit to promote the brand.
Imo's agency, MSW Marketing, will produce TV spots featuring Freese, as well as radio, print and digital spots, and meet-and-greet events.
