Paydiant, a provider of a cloud-based mobile wallet and offer-redemption platform, today announced that Menusoft has integrated the Paydiant mobile wallet solution into its Digital Dining restaurant management and point-of-sale software system. Menusoft's 50,000 Digital Dining customers can now enable pay-at-the-counter, pay-at-the-tablet/handheld and pay-at-the-table mobile wallet capabilities, along with targeted mobile offers and offer redemption, branded and configured to meet the needs of each restaurant customer, according to a company press release.
How it works
Using the integrated solution, Digital Dining customers can offer a number of mobile wallet capabilities, including payments of any tender type, offer creation and redemption, and digital receipts. Once end-customers use their smartphones to download a restaurant's branded mobile wallet app and their payment cards are linked to the wallet, restaurant customers will scan a QR code presented to them on a payment terminal or on a receipt at the table. From there, customers use their mobile device to choose which offers to redeem and which card type to use to complete the transaction. Paydiant's cloud-based mobile payment process ensures security by eliminating the storage of any personal or account information on the phone itself or passing any of that information through the POS system.
"Our customers' businesses are increasingly mobile, so meaningful mobile innovation is one of our most important areas of focus and investment," said Andre Nataf, senior business development manager, Menusoft. "Pay-at-the-table, for example, reduces the number of trips required to the table to settle a check. That differentiating experience improves operational efficiencies through quicker 'table-turn,' and consequently increases customer convenience and loyalty. That's just one of the ways we're leveraging our integration with Paydiant's solution to improve the way our Digital Dining customers do business."
