JU$TCHEX adds one-click customer refund function for pizza operations

OXNARD, Calif.—JUSTCHEX, LLC, a provider of Web-based electronic check recovery processing for returned checks, announced the addition of customer refund functionality to its JU$TCHEX product.

According to a news release, the new refund function allows pizza operators to refund customers' accounts immediately if a check writer makes a payment for a bounced check in person.

"It gives me the best of both worlds. I can use the online service and not turn away a customer that comes to my store looking to pay off a bounced check," Domino's Pizza franchisee Scott Smith said in the release. "That has always been a problem because when a customer goes out of their way, you do not want to say no to them. Now we can take the payment and balance our books with a click on the JU$TCHEX Web site."

With this new option, if a payment is made at a store location, a JU$TCHEX client can cancel an online transaction waiting for payment, or even issue an online refund that will return the funds in question to the bounced check writer's account. The entire transaction is accomplished with a single click, and includes reporting the transaction to update all affected reports including the real-time negative file.

"By letting our clients perform functions that would normally require a phone call and some clerical intervention, we avoid adding those needless costs to the business process," JU$TCHEX's Richard McShirley said in the release.
