Largest Pizza Hut franchisee taps new AOR

NPC International, the largest franchisee of Pizza Hut restaurants in the world, has named Creative Alliance Inc. as its Agency of Record for all print and insert volume materials.

NPC International, headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., operates 1,135 stores in 28 states. Creative Alliance Inc. is headquartered in Louisville, Ky. and was founded 23 years ago.

The AOR will handle the bulk of printed marketing materials for the franchisee, including newspaper promotion, free standing inserts, direct mail and couponing.

"This is what we call the big fish," said Debbie Scoppechio, Creative Alliance CEO. "We have worked very hard over the years to hook this one knowing that we have the knowledge, expertise and infrastructure required to handle the large scale yet nimble print marketing requirements of this premier pizza company."

Creative Alliance has been the production and print provider for KFC's corporate and franchise stores for more than 20 years and has supplied similar services to Long John Silver's and A&W restaurants for the past seven years. All of these companies, including Pizza Hut, are part of Yum! Brands, also headquartered in Louisville, Ky.

"We've seen and appreciated the work that Creative Alliance has produced for KFC over the years and have been fortunate to work with them on some special projects," said Linda Sheedy, NPC director of marketing. "We're excited about the opportunity to truly collaborate on our marketing strategies and develop some exciting concepts for the future."

Scoppechio said that the agency has added three new employees to round out a new NPC team. The contract is effective immediately.

The agency generates nearly $180 million in capitalized billings annually and employs more than 137 people.
