LaRosa's growing footprint beyond Cincinnati market

Oct. 24, 2012

The nearly 60-year-old LaRosa's Pizzeria is expanding its system beyond its longtime Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeastern Indiana and Greater Dayton markets with a plan to grow in Columbus, Ohio.

LaRosa's is currently recruiting potential franchise partners who are experienced entrepreneurs with demonstrated success in existing Columbus area retail businesses.

LaRosa's will celebrate the kick off of the campaign with "LaRosa's Perfect Pizza Meet & Eat," a free pizza sampling day on Oct. 26. LaRosa's mobile pizza kitchen will serve free pizza from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 8800 Lyra Drive, near Polaris Fashion Place on the north side of Columbus. Along with serving potential franchise partners, the event will be open to the public.

"We have so many friends in Columbus who urged us to come to town. Our Perfect Pizza Meet & Eat is our way of letting them know we heard them, as well as introducing our family recipe pizza to new friends in Columbus," said Mike LaRosa, CEO, LaRosa's Inc.

LaRosa added that many Columbus residents are likely familiar with the pizza that is sold at the nearby Kings Island amusement park, as well as Cincinnati Reds and Bengals games.

"We're looking to build a presence in Columbus with franchise partners who are people we like, people we trust and people who do good business," he said.

There are currently 65 LaRosa's locations.
