Made in America movement adds pizza ingredient suppliers

Jan. 23, 2013

The Made in America Store, which first opened in 2010 as a way to create and keep jobs stateside, has added four products that combine to make an "all-American-made pizza."

Just Pizza, Battistoni, U. S. Grown and Kutter's Cheese are the American companies that have met with the Made In America Store to come up with the ingredients. They include:

  • Battistoni's Classic 7 Ounce Pepperoni Stick; this traditional-style pepperoni is made with edible casing and then slow dried.
  • U.S. Grown's pizza sauce made with tomatoes, spices and other ingredients from its New York-based farm.
  • Just Pizza's dough mix can yield two 16-inch pizzas just by adding water. The Western New York-based company evolved from a small pizza shop in 1992 to a supplier of pizza products.
  • Kutter's Cheese Factory, from Corfu, N.Y., offers a wide variety of cheeses created in its factory, which first opened in 1923.

The Made In America Store brings vendors far and wide to offer more than 3,500 products that are guaranteed to be 100-percent U.S.A. made.
