LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Pi Star Communications, a leader in on-demand mobile point-of-delivery handheld applications, announced in a news release that it has partnered with Mapopolis as its primary mobile handheld mapping partner.

"Pi Star is elated to have partnered with Mapopolis," said Patrick Moldt, chief software architect and founder of Pi Star. "As the recognized leader in the PDA/handheld mapping world, Mapopolis has proven to us that they are the best at building and branding the most versatile handheld mapping solution on the planet."

Mapopolis' mapping software will be used on the PiMobilePOD handheld driver unit. The unit is a satellite-tracking device that provides pizza drivers voice-guided navigation instructions to customer destinations. Via connection to a POS system, it also allows real-time, on-screen tracking, allowing store operators to manage driver fleets efficiently.
