Mellow Mushroom joins Dine Out for No Kid Hungry Campaign

This month, Mellow Mushroom is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide to support Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. During September, Mellow Mushroom will donate $1 to the cause with every order of its Bruschetta appetizer sold.

"Mellow Mushroom is proud to be participating in the 2012 Dine Out For No Kid Hungry. Mellow supports the Share Our Strength mission of providing every child in America access to nutritious food to enable him or her to live healthy, active lives. We know our guests will appreciate Mellow Mushroom's participation in a program aimed at solving one of this nation's most troubling issues — childhood hunger," said Annica Kreider, vice president of Brand Development.

Now in its fifth year, Dine Out For No Kid Hungry has raised more than $4 million for the No Kid Hungry campaign. Funds are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S.; create public-private partnerships that align kids with the resources they need; support school breakfast, summer and after-school meal programs; and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy meals with limited resources.
