Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers' growth spurt continues with two unit openings slated for Dec. 12 in Chattanooga, Tenn., and Charlotte, N.C.
The Chattanooga opening marks the company's second location in the city, and the second unit owned by Jason and Samantha Jones.
"We have always had plans for a second location in Chattanooga. The community has been clamoring for another Mellow, and we are happy to oblige," Samantha Jones said.
The bar area consists of an original abstract painting by owner/artist, Jason Jones, while Samantha incorporated an artistic antique VW Bug hood representing her first car.
The new Chattanooga location also features an exclusive Mellow Mushroom Beer Club with 64 drafts and 75 bottles, a full-service bar, covered patio with an outside lounge, large party booths, stadium seating facing the open kitchen, a full size bocce ball court outside, and trivia nights.
The new Charlotte location also marks the company's second location in that city and the second unit for owners Jeffrey Small, Steven Small, Marc Kieffer, Nabil Boutros and John Fiske.
The interior design features an original take on a "Magic Carpet Ride" theme, according to Kieffer, with a 16-foot mushroom and a giant hookah.
This location features a full-service bar with a wide array of liquor, craft beer and wine options. The Mellow Mushroom Beer Club includes 100 beers and member-only rewards. This unit also includes trivia nights, live music and sporting events on a 106-inch big screen TV.
