MOD Pizza plans three locations by mid-October

Seattle-based MOD Pizza announced it will open locations in Issaquah, Vancouver and Tacoma, Wash., by mid-October. This will bring the brand's total number of stores to 12.

The fast casual chain also plans to open additional stores in the Portland, Ore., and Los Angeles markets by the end of the year.

The new stores include:

Issaquah Highlands — Opening late September 2013. This location is under construction and will be approximately 2,200 square feet. The store is located at Highlands Drive NE and NE Park Drive in a retail center 18 miles east of downtown Seattle.

Vancouver — Opening late September 2013. MOD Pizza will be located at the Columbia Tech Center, a master-planned, mixed-use development within the Clark County technology corridor. MOD will be located in a newly constructed building at 19151 SE Mill Plain Blvd., and will occupy approximately 2,300 square feet.

Tacoma — Opening mid-October 2013. MOD will occupy the corner of a new pad building located outside the main southern entrance to the mall. The Tacoma Mall is located south of Seattle on the I-5 corridor in Pierce County, Wash., just outside downtown Tacoma. The Tacoma Mall has more than 150 specialty retailers and is anchored by Nordstrom's and Macy's.

Additionally, on July 1, a new MOD Pizza opened in Puyallup, Wash., at the corner of Sunrise Village.
