Midwestern pizza chain Monical's Pizza is trying a new twitter strategy, according to Lisa Chidichimo, the company's marketing technology coordinator. She said the company tries its best to respond to all of the questions and concerns of the 66-unit chain's 30,000-plus Facebook followers, and wants to promote the same level of interaction on Twitter.
The solution to that, she believes, is to designate times for some of the chain's more experienced managers to develop a tweeting persona, involving followers and answering questions. But unlike other companies' cotweeting strategies, where multiple brand tweeters are identified by their initials, Chidichimo doesn't believe that distinction will be necessary for their strategy, which they plan to roll out and test in the following months.
"We're all Monical's, so whoever can answer (a Twitter) question with the most knowledge should be responding," she said.
