MonkeyMedia Software makes first donation to Share Our Strength

In an effort to support Share Our Strength's mission to end childhood hunger, the founder and president of MonkeyMedia Software made its first donation to the organization as part of the company's donation pledge of $100,000.
The company is using sales from founder and CEO Erle Dardick's book, "Get Catering and Grow Sales! A Strategic Perspective for The Multi-Unit Restaurant Executive," to raise donation funds.
At a National Restaurant Association, Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show gathering, held May 7 at Bennigan's in Chicago, Dardick, along with MonkeyMedia Software president Mo Asgari, presented a $5,000 check to Jim Vinz, co-CEO of Le Duff America and chairman of the advisory board for the No Kid Hungry campaign.
So far, MonkeyMedia Software has sold 2,000 copies of the book. Proceeds from the sale of the first 1,500 went to cover costs. Moving forward, proceeds from each additional copy sold will go the organization.
"After reading Bill Shore's book, 'Revolution of The Heart,' several years ago, I was inspired by his social entrepreneurship and his visionary perspective and approach toward ending childhood hunger in the US. At MonkeyMedia Software, we have a culture of working for our higher purpose, while growing our business responsibly," Dardick said. "Part of that purpose is to make a difference in a complex world, and what better vehicle to use than our growing venture. Our team feels blessed to do the work that we do and we believe strongly in the power of community and in the human spirit. We are proud to channel our energy into supporting this great organization."

During the event, co-hosted by PeopleMatter, MonkeyMedia Software debuted a new video, "Catering Kid," promoting the catering sales channel and restaurant operators 13th month.
