New marketing strategy leads Peter Piper Pizza to record sales growth

Arizona-based Peter Piper Pizza has reported record-breaking same-store sales growth with 45 consecutive months.

According to the company, sales were hit hard in 2009 during the recession. Peter Piper Pizza hired Santy Integrated advertising agency and, together, they built a new integrated brand strategy that included:

  • More digital presence;
  • New brand spots targeting Millennial moms;
  • Re-engagement with the Hispanic community;
  • A new website; and
  • A new online party planning platform.

"We are thrilled to have hit 45 consecutive periods of same-store sales growth," Charles Bruce, president and CEO, said in a news release. "We were looking to sustain sales momentum, not just create occasional spikes. We have made minor corrections along the way as they were needed, building on prior success, but for the most part we have stayed the course."

Santy Integrated president and CEO Dan Santy added that Peter Piper's new campaign led to an increase in traffic, guest check averages and visit frequency.

"Peter Piper Pizza has given us the freedom and trust to help guide their brand and make it what it is today. They embraced the comprehensive integrated campaign where all of the components worked together," he said.
