New top-your-own pizza concept marks its debut in Phoenix

The newest top-your-own pizza concept, Fired Pie, has planted a flag in the Phoenix market, at Deer Valley Towne Center.

Fired Pie allows guests to choose their own dough, sauce and toppings, as well build their own salads. Pizzas are made in 4 minutes.

"We are excited about the opening of Fired Pie and are looking to change the way people are used to ordering their food," said Fred Morgan, one of the restaurant's three founders. "We look to our customers to inspire us with their own creations and then we fire it up."

Fired Pie was born from the minds of Morgan, Rico Cuomo and Doug Doyle. The trio worked together for more than 15 years, through the ranks of California Pizza Kitchen. Morgan and Doyle recently worked with the senior team at Oregano's Pizza Bistro which brought them to the Phoenix market where they were reunited with Rico.

"A fresh made pizza in four minutes — we are the Chipotle of pizza and salad," Cuomo said.

Fired Pie is located at 3049 W Agua Fria Freeway in Phoenix. Two new Fired Pie locations will be coming soon at 3110 North Central Ave., in Phoenix, and 2855 W. Ray Road #5, in Chandler, Ariz. For more information, visit firedpie.com or facebook.com/FiredPie.
